The Treat Williams dream

In last night’s dream I was lounging in a slouchy, ’50s-teenager kind of way against the corner of a building on the Harvard University campus. In hindsight that point alone seems odd, considering that both I and Harvard University were in Los Angeles at the time, but I won’t quibble.

A group of people approached me, and as they did so I noticed that a man in the group was the actor Treat Williams. How I knew it was Treat Williams when he looked like Robert Urich, I don’t know. In any case I knew it was Treat Williams.

A lady in the little group asked if I knew how to get to Rueja residence hall. I had heard of it but did not know where it was. I happened, however, to have a campus map in my back pocket so I pulled it out. To everyone’s dismay it did not show any residence halls on it.

I then offered to search the internet for a campus map showing Rueja residence hall. As I did so on my iPhone I said to Mr. Williams, “You and I have crossed paths before* and I said this to you then but it bears repeating: Prince of the City was the best movie of the 1980s.”

“One of them,” he replied graciously.

We never found out where Rueja residence hall was.
